Just a quick note to apologize for the delay in adding new members to the ring. I let my job eat up too much of my time there for a while. I've just added several new members and am going to take a spin around the ring this morning and make sure things are working well.
I've you'd like to join up, we'd love to have you.
If you are a member of the ring and your site has been moved to the queue, there is either something wrong with your code (probably still pointing to Molly) or you haven't posted in a really long time. If you're having trouble with ring code, don't hesitate to email or PM me. I know the ring html emails that I send out through ringsurf to let people know their code is bad are impersonal, but they're the best tool I've got.

Hi Lanea, I followed the link to join but didn't see any of the familiar things to fill out to join the ring. Please advise. I would love to join. I will also faithfully report any broken links. I wish some of the other rings I am on would ask for link checkers

| For Blogger users. Blogger now has a beta version, which makes adding page elements, and lists, etc sooooo easy. The first thing you need to do is first migrate into the beta version. After that, simply take the webring code, add an page element to your blogger page, I used an html element, and paste the KR webring code into it. Add a title for the page element and voila, the KR webring element is there. |

Just signed up and waiting for approval. The little logo is truncated for some reason. My method for doing this stuff is to copy what I did before that worked and change anything that deviates. Can't figure this one out.

This flush of new members (seriously--it's like the hot new thing, the ring--more new members in the last three days since, well, ever) has made me think about formally establishing some quidelines for the ring. I really don't feel I own it, since Molly started it and since I want it to reflect Clara's sensibilities on some level, even though we have our official "This is not Clara's doing disclaimer."
So what do you all think should be our requirements? We don't have any set in stone, and I think we should have some on the blog ring homepage. Tell me what you think about the following possible requirements.
Knitting content! (this is a gimme, as far as I'm concerned--it doesn't have to be soully about knitting, but there needs to be some) Frequency of posts (once a month? once a week? once every two weeks?) Does it have to be a blog, or will we welcome commercial sites owned by members? Is there any sort of content we really object to? I personally don't want to click on sites full of nudity. I'm probably not alone in that. How do you all feel about other kinds of content? I'm not suggesting we turn into a Pollyanna ring, of course.
Any concerns or questions? See where I'm going?

I agree that there should be guidelines. I'm with you on the knitting content, LOL, yep ,that's a given  Also that there should be regular posting...I say every 2 weeks (of course, I'm cool with whatever is decided!) unless one is out sick or something beyond our control, of course. Yeah, the no nudity is a good thing....I don't need to see any naked knittin'! Thanks so much for taking the Ring Reigns, Lanea!

I just registered to join the KR webring and was wondering exactly how one inserted the code into one's blog for the button (I know you don't want us linking directly to your image sources and sucking your bandwith). I'm having a heck of a time getting the code correct. I have a button image downloaded onto my desktop but I just can't seem to get the image on my blog.
Help!

I wish one of the rings I'm in would fix the broken links. I was cruising along, and suddenly - no link at all! That bugs me a lot! I've reported it, but that ring boss person doesn't care like Lanea does.
Thanks, Lanea!
