Normally we are open Sunday and Monday, but with the Holiday; we decided to close both days.
We have a regular group of about 14 knitters that drop in for social knitting at any given time.
Yesterday, they realized that they would'nt be able to come in an knit for 4 days[we are closed Tuesdays]-It threw them into a panic.
They we begging us,"Please,Please, Please-we promise we won't touch anything, we'll be good, we just want to come in and knit-How will we last without out our Knit fix for 4 days? Can't you give us the key?"
Of course they were joking, but it sure says something about knitters obsessions![:00]
I thought about it for a minute and a half. KL |

There's a nice LYS in Walsenburg. She has a sign on the door that lists her hours. Underneath that, it says "For Yarn Emergencies, call ..." and it gives her home phone number. "Yarn emergencies" -- now there is a woman who really understands knitters. [:00] Only in a small town... Happy New Year -- claire |

I ran out of... It's the wrong dye lot... I have to cast on for the Kumquat shawl immediately but have nothing in my stash that's kumquat color... The needles are the wrong size... I ran out of stitch markers... DH just gave me $50 to buy some yarn...
Honestly, Sandra, you've never had one of these? But then, you OWN a yarn store...

Or, I've had the kind of bad day that only sock knitting can cure.
The only bush I trust is my own. |

| there are days when I just have to go to a yarn shop. I pull up a chair in the back room where the wools and blends are and stare at the colors and imagine what I want to make. I need something but I dont know what it is YET! When i leave the store with the little bag and something new in it all those stresses leave and a moment of peace. Like a dip in a cool pool. Not sure if thats an emergency but it is sure what the doc orders for me! |
