Spin-Off's Summer edition is announced on the webpage as "available June 12"-- how will I possibly wait until then?

My first freelance article is "A Yarn Party," with my daughter Madeleine and several of her friends. What a fabulous place to start with writing for pay! I'd love to hear your feedback, when you can actually lay hands on the issue, yourself!

I sure hope that my subscription copy comes before the newsstands put theirs out!

Oh! I Read that article! Whew! You are bold and brave. I do spinning story times with children and I've taught them to spin too, but only in groups of 2 or 3 at a time.
Congratulations, on the idea, the party and getting published!

If you want to hop a plane to San Antonio, you can read mine...
I work at an LYS and I got mine, but the shop doesn't have theirs yet.

Oh, yay! Congrats, Denise! I am going to have to see if my fave newsstand might, hopefully, have the new issue on the shelf.

Yes, I enjoyed the article. Bet the kids talk about that party for years to come! And who knows? Maybe one or two will become lifelong spinners.

My copy was in the mail Friday (in France!) Great Article - well-written, informative - do you mind if I steal a few ideas for teaching adults?

Dear Klara, please steal the whole thing! I will be doing the same, trying the little workshop with adults, too, and possibly following up with articles in SpinOff and elsewhere.
I just got my copy and my paycheck and I am one happy freelance writer! I only wish there were more spinning shops in the area, so I could offer to guest-speak. But planning is for another day: right now I am over the moon, showing the whole magazine to people.
And it seems like there is SO MUCH GOOD STUFF IN THERE this issue. My first thing to do is to subscribe-- doesn't that seem like a good idea? and to sign up for the Interweave Felts first issue, since that's my true forte.
Thank you for sharing my enthusiasm. It doubles the joy.

I loved your article! I have two teenage nieces and they have hinted that they want to try my spinning wheel out. I think I'm going to have to learn on a spindle soon and try a little party first with them. It looks like you had such a good time.
Good luck with your writing and I hope to see more of your work!
