The yarn I don't have. [:00][:00][:00]
Right now, I'm in love (again) with Claudia Hand Painted yarns. It's very soft. And Ann Schaeffer.

I really like solid color socks. Louet has great colors and it so nice to work with - love Lorna Laces, too. |

I love Lorna's Laces, but just finished something with Lisa Souza Sock! and I think its the current favorite. And then there is Sophie's Toes on Etsy....I have a hard time resisting buying when she updates her shop!

Mountain Colors Bear Foot. My favorite socks, ones I kept just for me, are of that yarn. Yummy! Second favorite is Trekking XXL.

I have every sock yarn I could possibly want, any my problem is I keep buying it, I have enough sock yarn to make about 60 pairs of socks at this moment, and I have two more yarn purchases on their way.

I like different yarns for different people:
For my children, Opal works great. The nylon makes the yarn strong, and the fine gauge allows them to slip on their shoes.
I like Koigu for my friends, an in-between yarn, with subtle varigation.
For myself, anything new and different! I've currently ordered handspun, and will knit myself socks. Anything that requires TLC stays with me...I *know* how much work went into them!

Ohmigosh! I thought I had EVERY favorite sock yarn. AND had knit with it. Koigu and Claudia of course. Then here in less than a minute I read about 5 yarns I have never even heard of! FIVE of them. So I "need" some Stonebarn Fibers, and Cherryblossom Fibers and some Duets, and Scouts, and Shi Bui. I think I really need the Shi Bui, it just sounds so fantastic. And I never even heard of any of these yarns. Astonishing how many there must be out there.
