Ok, I have 1025 yards of lace weight yarn, in pink, gray and a dark gray. It is very pretty but I dont know what to make with it. Now her comes the hard part, I dont wear shawls so I want something different..... any ideas?? Free patter is preferable. I know about knitting pattern central... but does anyone have any specific pattern ideas??

why do you not wear shawls? is it because they slip? you might consider a capelet.

No, i am just not a dressed up kind of gal, I am more of a blue jeans girl. I wouldnt wear a shawl, even though I have knitted them in the past. I am looking for more of a stole.

shrug? -It should be enough for some sleeves. Maybe 3/4? Start at centre back, - knit until the yarn runs out? Shrugs are great over long sleeved tee shirts. I'd use a modified pattern from knitandTonic. its for kids but works for us grown up gals to

Thanks for the idea, it would be really pretty as a shrung...hmm I am going to have to think some more on that one, I am leaning more to some king of stole pattern though
