It's not to early for ME to begin planning/coordinating (hey, I'm in Texas!). CP: Will you puh-lease let us know dates of the KR retreat? It's OK if we can't make reservations yet, I can stand THAT suspense... but I would like to make sure I haven't booked anything important on my calendar... like vacation with my HUSBAND. (He would NOT want to be a wool-widower!!)

Th dates, November 7-9, are correct according to Miss Clara. I would so love to attend the retreat and put names to all your faces, and of course, have my "Knitter's Book of Yarn" personaly signed by the Queen Bee.

It will be held at the same place as last year as well ~ The Seven Hills Inn in Lenox, MA.

The date registration opens may be of equal importance. Last year, didn't the retreat fill up on the first day almost? I, for one, want to be sure I'm close to my computer that day.

Another thought: A limiting factor seemed to be the number of available sleeping spaces in the Inn. I wonder if Clara would allow a few people to commute from an offsite location, as the Inn's dining room spaces would allow, of course. Of course, then it would then take 4 hours to do the introductions!

Or, there could be a SECOND retreat... maybe in Spring. I couldn't/wouldn't pay to go to the same place TWICE a year, but if Seven Hills had openings, I bet there'd be enough people to do TWO!!

Whoa!
Jen, How do you know it will be at 7 Hills again?!
Chalk me up as one who'd go if I could stay off site. My family lives in Dalton.
Thanks!

A very reliable little birdie told me. I think it's in the calendar, too. :-D

I would also be interested in attending if I could stay offsite since I live in the area. Of course, I also wouldn't mind the vacation from house, home and children. :-D

That is often what we do. Once we find out who got their registrations in on time and got a slot, people will start comparing notes on KR about where they're coming from and how best to carpool or fly together. It just extends the fun. I got to ride home with one of my roomies last year, and it was wonderful.

I'd love to go. Do we pay for the weekend when we register or is there time to get the money in? I am not big on doing things like this by myself. It's no fun without friends.

notmuch - believe me - you will have friends very shortly after arrival if not before.

In other news - I just finished a clerical stole based on the lace sampler from the last retreat.

Any news yet on registration? I really want to go, as this is my first year back into knitting, and would love to meet up with a group of knitters and spend the weekend knitting in a group!
