I have almost 5 ounces of beautiful angora fiber. I am not experienced enough to spin it, and am not interested in carding it in with anything else. Lazy, I guess. Plus, it makes me sneeze when I try to spin it!
It is pure white, with a staple length of about 3-4 inches. It is from one of Betty Chu's champion English angora rabbits here in CA. It is straight off the rabbit-nothing has been done to it.
Asking $6 to cover shipping and an envelope. My loss is your gain! Just send me pics of what you spin or knit it into!

Have you tried blending it with other fiber? I blended some angora with a nice BFL (20% angora, 80% BFL roughly)and was pleased with the outcome. For me, angora by itself is too slippery.

Not to snatch the angora from Steph's eager fingers, but please consider keeping that lovely fiber! You may find as you progress that you want to work with it later.

It makes me too sneezy. I sneeze for hours after I use it. I know LOADS of people with angora--I'll have no shortage of it once I get my act together. Thanks for the encouragement, though, fiberlicious!
And, gryffin2007, BFL is the next fiber I plan to try. I hear it's wonderful. Where do you get yours? |

Hi, I thought you were giving up your Angora... You nearly broke my heart, thank goodness it is just the fiber.

E-Bay? Or how about starting your own thread here in the Forum so people see at a glance that you have llama fleeces to offer? Or a small add in Spin-Off, or on any of the spinner's yahoo groups...
Good luck! Klara

Sometimes folks are allergic to the rabbit spit on the fiber and not the fiber itself. Did you try washing it before using it? You might be able to use it if the bunny spit is washed off.
