Did anyone else pick up a copy of Jane Austen Knits? I am not a big Jane Austen fan (except for Pride and Prejudice) but I appreciated the patterns. Apparently this issue was so successful that they're planning for 2012 already.

I like the rule of three shawl (Anniken Allis often has patterns in Yarn Forward/Knit) and the Whitman Cap. I had to click on the bonus photos to see the patterns more clearly, the colors look a little drab to me but it may be because I'm not into neutrals and manly colors. |

Hi Minh,
I bought it and the Knit.Wear special issue as well. Jane Austen Knits was charming.
I thought the knit.wear patterns were more wearable given my own style. I often shy about from "simple knits" type mags, but knit.wear has very interesting constructions and clean designs-simplicity of style rather than of pattern instructions. |

I ordered a downloadable copy of Accessories this morning. The website said that Jane Austen Knits is being reprinted, so maybe there will be copies available soon. I'm thinking about going ahead and ordering the download for it, too.

| I like the square back on Rule of Threes. I'm not a fan of sharp triangle shawls, preferring a rounded or square back. |

Did you try Barnes and Noble? They have lots of knitting magazines including Jane Austen Knits.
Sorry Jane for mentioning Barnes and Noble. I'm placing my holiday book order (7 copies of Phantom Tollbooth 35th anniversary) through my town bookstore. I usually only browse, buy magazines and drink coffee at Barnes and Noble. |

I looked EVERYWHERE mjhealy. I looked in over 5 knitting stores and several book stores with knitting mags.
I finally just went to the IK website and ordered it. Even if it is backorder I can say my number is counted there. I just get so gosh darned mad when I can't get the mag I want in hard copy.

I understand completely! If you don't want to wait, I'll pick up a copy and send it to you. I work right near a big post office.

My copy of Jane Austen Knits arrived in the mail! So they did reprint it and I sat down and had a good read last nite.
