I just got an ipod for Christmas - from the doctors in the hospital how cool was that! This one doc put tons of music on it for me. I'm still a ipod newbie I was having DH put songs on until last month when I braved it and did it myself. Haven't ventured into the world of podcasts yet,but I am seriously considering the idea.

No IPod, but I listened to it on my computer. I really enjoyed it and plan to continue to tune in for each episode. Vicki near Seattle |

I find the podcast to be very pleasant listening and also very informative. It is interesting that someone who owns KnitPicks is also still a spinner.

I've been listening to it whenever it updates. I, too, find it very informative, and, it sounds very professionally put together.
I have noticed some of the older podcasts from others are either updating less frequently or have stopped completely. Hopefully, this one stays around for a long time.

This has become one of my favorite podcasts - she has a nice voice and I like the content. Easier to listen to than many of the others.

I just started listening to podcasts. Many of them seem as if the speaker has not really developed a format and instead just choose to ramble on about whatever is on his/her mind.
I have found the Knit Picks podcasts to be quite enjoyable. I especially like that she, Kelely Petkun, features a recommended book in each "episode.

I love this podcast. Kelley Petkun's voice is so soothing and the way she gets all excited about things is adorable! The thing I really like about it is that she doesn't make it feel like an extended advert for the shop. She outlines different techniques and what types of fibre work best with them and admits her frustrations and triumphs, which is rather encouraging. You end up getting a real sense of what goes on in her knitting life and it's infectious. For crying out loud, because of her I'm considering swatching up a steek experiment!!

Emmms I thought the same thing about the steek experiment and for heavens sake I don't even knit sweaters (not much need in North Alabama winters), but now my curiosity has been peaked. I have really been enjoying this podcast a lot & look forward to the new one each week.

I have just started listening to Podcasts and I have to agree that most of them are just people who want to ramble on. I think Knitpiks and the Webs podcasts are the best so far but I'm enjoying surfing through lots more Robin C. |

Have you tried Cast On or Stash and Burn? They are informative and kept the rambling to a minimum...IMHO.

I like the Knit Picks as well. You can tell that she really prepares for each pod cast. I also appreciate the fact that the selling aspect is really low-key. She really focuses on the techniques and ideas. I listen to her one on lace and it really helped me as I started my first lace project.
I also listen to Stash and Burn and Knitters uncensored. Stash and Burn is more traditional, I think. Knitters Uncensored is a lot of fun, but can be hard to hear sometimes (there are three people and the one farthest from the mike can fade out).

Just recently found out about the Knitpicks podcasts and I love them. I'm training for a half marathon and listen to them on my walks. Kelly's also given me great ideas for books on tape to listen to. Of all the knitting podcasts I've listened to, hers is the most enjoyable and informative. Hope she keeps it up!
