Maybe we should each send a bottle of Dawn dish washing liquid down to the Gulf. They are using it to clean the wildlife they are able to save. I will take a couple bottles over to the Bronx Zoo this week and inquire if they are able to send it. If they can't, will consider sending it directly to Louisiana.

Louisiana doesn't need you to send them a couple bottles of Dawn. Proctor & Gamble provides the Dawn to the specialists who care for the rescued critters. This is from their Facebook page:
=========================== Thanks so much for your desire to help Dawn in its efforts to save wildlife. The support that we have received from schools, retailers, and individuals, in response to this tragic oil spill in the Gulf, has been very heartwarming and means so much to us and our partners. Dawn has donated all of the product requested by our partner wildlife rescue organizations and is prepared to donate more if needed for the Gulf cleanup effort.
We appreciate all those who were willing to collect Dawn product to send to the Coast, but at the present time, the Tristate Bird Rescue Center, International Bird Rescue Research Center and other members of the on-ground coalition rescue efforts have sufficient Dawn product for their current cleanup efforts. A little bit of Ultra Concentrated Dawn goes a long way and just one small bottle can clean multiple birds.

Dawn is what I use most often. Now I'll use it all the time for sure.

I completely switched to Dawn when they first started running the wonderful commercials showing them cleaning wildlife. This was actually before the oil spill but that catastrophe insured that I won't switch to anything else.
