I want to make the Caron Montreal Jacket which calls for Naturally Caron "Country" yarn - a worsted weight yarn.

I'd love to make it from the Arucania Sugar Cane yarn, but its DK weight.

Can I use the DK without changing the pattern and/or shape? How do I compensate using DK for worsted? Obviously, a larger hook is called for but then will the garment be too loose, or not as solid as it would with the called-for yarn?

DK, light worsted so you should be O.K., but do a swatch to see if you
like it. You could go down a needle size and see what happens.
