Hi, my name is Laura, and I've been knitting since I was little. My mom taught me to knit, and I think the first real item I knitted was a sweater (2 colors) when I was in high school. Nothing like starting with a challenge!
So, I knit a lot now--socks, scarves, hats, sweaters. One of the most challenging was the multi-colored cardigan with the steeks. Not one of my favorites, but I can do it.
I'm now going to make one of those Orenburg type scarves that Galina K. makes. I bought some cashmere yarn and will figure that out. So much yarn and so many patterns--so little time! |

| Hi Chessiemom, Welcome to KR from Chicago. The first class I took for knitting the project was a sweater, I still have it. This place is a learning center. There is so much talent here. All you have to do is ask. Happy knitting!!!!!! Donna |

Welcome to the KF, chessiesmom! I'm working on a scarf, using Sashay yarn. Lots of ruffles! I agree with you on "So much yarn & so many patterns- So little time"! Looking forward to reading your posts here in the forums!

Keep on knitting! The more, the merrier! A balanced diet is a peanut butter cookie in each hand!
