Hi --
I want to make a baby afghan and would like to know the best yarn to use that doesn't pill. I hate to put all the work into making a Baby Blanket and after a couple of washings it will look terrible.

I made some beautiful hemp napkins a year ago. They've been used and washed several times, and nary a pill. Hemp is beautiful, in my opinion, doesn't pill, and it's machine wash and dry. Drawbacks are it's not elastic and it can sometimes be difficult to knit with. The finished item will soften wish a wash or two and continue to soften over time, like linen.
