Hello my name is Susan ans I live in the Desert Southwest, USA. I've been knitting since I was 17 crochet only for a year. Took a 30 yr hiatus and cannot knit away with such speed as I used to without arthritis flaring up in the right arm and shoulder. I like to knit continental style. I also spin. My wheel is a Kromski Minstrel.
Welcome to the forum, Susan, from Maine! I have been knitting since the age of 8, and I certainly feel your Pain. I took a fall a few months ago and it has certainly affected my ability to knit for more than a few rows at a time due to a shoulder injury. I never realized how much you use the muscles in upper arm and shoulder when you knit until now. judy
Welcome from Australia. There are a lot of us with bits of arthritis that interfere with our knitting from time to time but those are the times we can sort out our stash, catch up on browsing pattern books and in general fuel the enthusiasm for when the arthritis flare is over.
