I am looking for a pattern (felted) for a shopping bag. I would prefer something which is fairly easy to knit. If you know of any free patterns or books which I can check out please let me know.

try googling Island of Misfit Patterns...scroll down to bags to "Baby's Got a BRand New Big Bag". I love this pattern. It's fun to play around with the colors as you wish and the handle comes out nice and sturdy. I lug books and groceries around in mine. Unlike the picture, mine always come out rectangular...not "bubblish". Good luck.
