I'm not that impressed with my new circular needles either. The needle part is fantastic, but the cord is so flimsy. It is such a switch from Addi Turbos. I like their cord so much better.

I think for the price, they should have a much better cord.

I made a shawl using the circs with the stilletto point and it was easy to pick up stitches, but, it was hard to move the stitches from the cable section to the needle. I was using a rather silky yarn, so maybe it was that the yarn did not have a lot of body to it to keep the shape of the loop.

I'm making another shawl, same pattern, same yarn, might go back to Addis and see if I can "identify the problem". LOL

I was introduced to SNAs at a sock knitting class in October '11. Intrigued I ordered #6 40" set with stiletto points to try and also compare with the ChiaGoo lace points I've been using for about a year. Yes, the SNAs are pretty, but the lack of smoothness between the join and needle and the needle and tip is problematic IMHO. I'll stick with the ChiaGoos, 1/4 the price, sturdy unkinkable cable, and nice sharp points. And, I can get them in a 47" length which is great for large circular shawls.

I have KnitPicks interchangeables, some Addis, and a slew of miscellaneous. I love the tips on my interchangeables and the cords are so soft, but they don't come in the small sizes, which I needed for some socks. I went cheap and purchased Inox needles. The join was terrible and snagged the yarn constantly. I returned them immediatley and just went with the Addis. I won't go $40(rather spend that on a skein of yarn), but iit's Addis all the way for me now.

Thanks for all the reviews. I don't own any Signatures and probably won't invest after reading these posts. Annoying to knit with a rough join. I use mainly Addi Turbos and Harmonies. After waiting since early October, should soon be getting my Dyakcraft wood tip set. Hope I won't be disappointed.

I have 2 sets of their stiletto 5" double pointed needles, sizes 4 and 6. There is something about the ridges in the size 4's that really bothers my hands. I made cuffs, on the size 4's, for one set of pop-up-paws and haven't used them since. The size 6's didn't seem to bother me that much, but I did not find them comfortable to work with. $110.00, with shipping, down the drain.

They are beautiful needles and I love the color codeing. I just can't use them.

Shalee,
If you are interested in selling them, there is a Signature group on Ravelry with an FSOT thread.

They are great needles, but I don't like the cables on them at all. The one set I bought myself as a treat has such a limp cord on it that it just gets in the way. I like Addi cords so much better.

I guess if I buy any more signature needles, they would be either straights or dpn's. Just won't spend that kind of money on needles that the cords are so poorly made.

Purchased 3rd set of Signature circs a few weeks ago, broke them out on a trip this week and was dismayed to discover one of the joins has a very rough spot, like a lip of metal that didn't get filed or polished off. I phoned and was told that returns are handled only via the website and I've heard nothing back after completing and submitting the form there. I do love the needles but think the customer service should be at the $40 level, too! Anybody have any success getting issues addressed by them?

I had an issue with a pair a year ago. The cable separated at the join to the needle. I wrote an email and immediately received a reply with a pre-printed shipping label so I could send them back. I did so and received a new pair very quickly.

Mshark, I would try to email them again. Your experience does not sound like the folks I have dealt with there - who have gone beyond the call in my experience. Every knitter has an opinion about needles and their personal suitability. But good service is something all of us can agree on. Perhaps your communication was misplaced in summer vacation staffing - why not try again and see what happens?

You are absolutely right. They did respond with exactly the kind of service one would expect. But it turns out to be a different problem b/c the same thing happened with the replacement needles. I did think it odd that I hadn't noticed the rough join when I first got the original set. Now the same thing has happened on the replacement set. I am knitting with linen, so the stitches are rather unforgiving and I think they are literally tearing up the thin metal at the join. Am wondering if anyone else has had this experience?
