Notes

Noble Nickels are imported by Muench Yarns, the same folks who bring you Rebecca magazine, Pony Pearls, rosewood and ebony Noble Needles, and Muench, GGH, Naturwolle, and Horstia yarns.

Packaging is extremely basic: Needles are presented in a simple plastic self-sealing bag with a sheet of paper inside identifying the needle size and cord length and advertising other Muench products.

As with other slick, fast-knitting metal needles, Noble Nickels may be best enjoyed by intermediate knitters who can maintain better control over their stitches. The smooth surface introduces very little drag, which makes for fast knitting.

The soft, pliable gold-colored nylon cord meets the needle in a completely smooth join without any interruption of flow. The needle remains slightly larger than the circumference of the cord for approximately an inch before expanding to the needle's intended size, adding to the ease of transition from cord to needle.

These needles feel significantly lighter than other nickel-plated tools I've used. Along with the lightness was a marvelous warmth aided by the heat-conducting element of nickel.

There's a medium to short taper (depending on the needle size) and nicely defined tip.
